Dans un environnement de polémiques face aux téléchargements, Coldplay démontre une fois de plus sa classe en offrant gratuitement le téléchargement de son album live LeftRightLeftRightLeft (LRLRL).

Lors du premier jour de sa première tournée en amérique du nord à West Palm Beach, les premières copies du CD LRLRL ont été offertes.

Les CDs vont aussi être offerts à tous les fans dans les concerts restants en 2009 excepté pour les festivals. Le téléchargement gratuit restera quant à lui possible sur le site du groupe jusqu‘à leur dernier concert 2009.
